About Outfitter: Mankazana Safaris
Mankazana Safaris is situated at the foothills of the Great Winterberg Mountains in the spectacular Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. This diverse hunting terrain of over eighty thousand acres in the Adelaide/Bedford area offers an abundance of superb trophies, in one of the great hunting areas of South Africa. The Mankazana River meanders lazily through this wildlife paradise. Set among forest clad mountains and with over thirty species available, Mankazana Safaris offers prospective clients an unforgettable African hunting experience.
The climate in the foothills of the Great Winterberg Mountains is temperate with no unpleasant excesses of heat, humidity or cold. Tropical diseases such as malaria, bilharzia and yellow fever are unknown.
There are two camps. The Stanley Lodge is a colonial era farm house restored to its original glory. There are four spacious double bedrooms, sitting room with fireplace, formal dining area, a stone veranda with fire pit and outside bar/dinning area, and a swimming pool. The Mbila bush camp is more rustic, sitting on the banks of the Mankazana River with towering rock formations. Both camps have en suite facilities of flush toilets and hot/cold showers. Guests are treated to wholesome country cuisine, including delicious country breakfasts, freshly baked bread and mouth watering venison dishes.
It is a challenging hunting experience like no other in South Africa, and clients should be prepared to walk and stalk the game.
